High Commissioner of India to Malaysia
His Excellency Mr. Ashok K. Kantha assumed charge as the High Commissioner of India to Malaysia in April 2007.
He served as the Joint Secretary heading East Asia Division, Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi between 2003 and 2007.
He was the Counsul General of India to Hong Kong and Macau between 2000 and 2003.
He joined India's diplomatic cadre, Indian Foreign Service, in 1977 and has held various positions in Singapore, Beiging, New Delhi, Washington and Kathmandu until 2000.
He is married to Mrs. Sharmila Kantha and they have one son.
